The Global Warming movement is promoted as science, but is more a religion by definition. The believers in the movment rely on faith in theory, even disproven theory, rather than fact or rational logic. The basic concept that is so heavily marketed by the movement is that man made carbon dioxide is responsible for every undesirable natural event that happens on the planet; including heat waves, hurricanes, floods, and droughts.

This concept is supposed to be proven by the study of ice core samples taken from the Antarctic ice at the Vostock station. The samples show a relation between heat and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere throughout history.

In his movie, An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore slickly illustrates the relationship between increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide and increased temperature. When presenting the ice core data, he illustrates carbon dioxide being in the lead followed by increased temperature, when in fact the ice core data shows temperature increases occurring ahead of carbon dioxide increases in history by as much as 800 years. The data being presented in the movie is distorted, and the clips taken from various places and pieced together to make a convincing package were not designed to communicate truth, but deception. The purpose of this sci-fi film was to market an agenda in such a way that will be profitable.

Prior to the global warming scam, the same techniques were used to promote the threat of an impending ice age in a global cooling scam. Just like the global warming scam of today, during the global cooling scam a political agenda being promoted as science was an excuse for redistribution of wealth in the wake of an urgency to do something to combat the proposed threat. This led to the birth of the theory that carbon dioxide could be used as a tool for warming the planet. Ideas to combat global cooling were being promoted in political circles during the global cooling scare. Such ideas as the funding to spread black soot on the polar caps in order to absorb heat and offset the cooling threat of the big freeze. In developing theories on how to warm up the planet and avoid the big freeze, a Swedish scientist named Burt Bolan came up with a theory that carbon dioxide might help to warm the planet and offset the cooling. He was heavily criticized in scientific circles at the time; however, later on during the energy crunch of the late 70s and early 80s, energy became a hot political problem for Margaret Thatcher's government. She wanted to promote nuclear energy so as to not be politically vulnerable to the labor unions or or middle eastern oil. She offered government money to anyone who's research could show proof of the Bolan theory so that her government could use the research to promote nuclear energy, thereby weakening the threats it was facing. Because of this move by Thatcher, research organizations sprang up to promote the new message and get the money.

Today if everyone was suddenly aware of the solecism behind the global warming theory, tens of thousands of people would be out work as their irrelevent, government funded positions depend on the idea that human produced carbon dioxide causes global warming. This helps keep alive the continued marketing of the "combat global warming" movement. The movement is also helped by the heavy support of neo-Marxist or socialist groups who find its romanticism of anti-development useful as a tool to promote their agenda under the guise of a benevolent cause.

The inescapable barrage of propaganda and indoctrination on the threat of global warming is driven by politics and quest of power and profit, not by science or truth.

The core theory on which all other rhetoric is based: that carbon dioxide drives the climate, has been shown to be untrue. Therefore, the more far-fetched theories and wishes that depend on this core theory are invalid.

No doubt you've seen billboards, television ads, videos, babbling news anchors, and celebrities all preaching about how serious the issue has become. It is definitely becoming a serious issue, but not for the reason they would have you believe. It is becoming such an issue because leaders and policy makers are falling for the deception, or feeling the pressure to at least pretend they've fallen for it, as everyone else is preaching the message and they need to get in line. No one wants to be publicly seen as the fool for admitting they cannot see the emperor's new clothes.

  • If the fallacy that an increase in carbon dioxide causes an increase in heat were true, the culprit would be the oceans, which give off enough carbon dioxide that human production is completely irrelevent by comparison.

  • If the fallacies that an increase in carbon dioxide is responsible for an increase in temperature, and that the human contribution of this gas into the atmosphere amounted to anything significant were true, transferring wealth from the working/productive classes to elite/ruling classes through carbon credit scams or taxation, would do nothing to change the climate. It would however, dramatically lower the standard of living.

People who believe that they are morally superior are often tempted to ignore moral norms such as telling the truth. Radical environmentalism, such as that promoted by the global warming crowd, is a form of religious belief which fosters a sense of moral superiority in the believer, but places no importance on telling the truth. It is a tool used to accomplish objectives that in reality have little or nothing to do with the environment.

science:

a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws

religion:something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience

The truth is not all that relevent to those who have made an investment in the scam; the important thing to them is a profitable return. This is what drives the slick and never ending marketing campaign to ingrain the falsehood of impending doom from human activity, and costly disparaging socialist solutions promoted as the answer, through every medium from television to billboards to massive stadium concerts.

If Al Gore, a leader in the environmental religion, truly believed the planet was in trouble, he would practice the religion himself instead of consuming almost 17 times the amount of energy of the average household while demanding that everyone else cut their consumption to unacceptable levels. His circle defend his apparent hypocrisy, saying that he 'offsets' his carbon footprint by purchasing carbon credits in an effort to encourage others to do the same. However, Gore transferring his wealth from one of his accounts to another would do nothing to repair the planet if it indeed were being damaged by his actions. Nor will transferring wealth to his account from other sources.
